newthinking Presents One Week of Big Data & Android

Since the beginning of this year, newthinking, co-founder of re:publica, is the new organiser of the droidcon Berlin, as well as managing partner of the droidcon trademark holder Mobile Seasons GmbH. Therefore, newthinking is not only the host of the Android conference “droidcon“ in Berlin, but also holds responsibility for the worldwide coordination and development of the brand.

The first droidcon took place in Berlin back in 2009. Today, the community meets in cities around the world including London, Amsterdam, Bangalore, Dubai, Tunis, Paris, Tel Aviv, Moscow, New York, Madrid, Montreal, Turin and Zagreb.

To kick off the cooperation, a technology week was initiated. Leading international experts from the technology industry will meet at the Postbahnhof in Berlin from May 31st until June 6th, 2015. As part of this partnership, both the "Berlin Buzzwords", one of the most exciting Big Data conferences in Europe, and the droidcon Berlin, part of the international Android conference series, will take place simultaneously in the same venue.

We are hoping to exchange know-how and expertise. A matching hackathon on June 6th, 2015, is intended as a link between the two events, and will be open to all developers hoping to find solutions to technological problems in creative and innovative ways.
