Oliver is founder and coordinator of the emerging (action) research division on community innovation and digital fabrication in Prof. Dr. Volkmar Pipek’s research group on CSCW and Social Media at Uni Siegen. The division's projects include Fab Lab Siegen, FAB101 (role of Fab Labs in academic community education) and ZEIT.RAUM (interactive, 3D printed city models). He has done field studies, mainly in Palestine and including digital fabrication and is also a lecturer for HCI- and Maker-methods such as Design Thinking and rapid prototyping as well as a member of the German Usability Professionals Association, Hackspace Siegen and Global Innovation Gathering.
